Rock Cr., 5000 ft, Granite Mt., Washoe Co., Nev. Engler 1936 July 13 about 1/2 mi. W of camp & on the top of the hill to the S of the Cr.) 1. Neotoma epidula, 1 Peromyscus maniculatus. at Rock Cr., 5200 ft, Granite Mt., Washoe Co., Nev I took from along the stream 6 Perognathus parvus & 5 Peromyscus maniculatus. These were taken on the rocky slope N of the stream. July 14 The morning & afternoon of the 12th was spent in preparing specimens. On the morning of the 13th I started up the Mt. to meet E.T. Hooper & W.G. Russell who were looking for deer. Starting over the hill just So of camp & about 3/4 mi. from camp I flushed a flock of about 12 Sage hens. Two were taken. Farther up this canyon at an altitude of 6000 ft a "Callo" was shot as it was running thru the brush at the bottom of a dry stream bed. Approximately, 200 yards farther up this stream a cottontail rabbit was taken. These two specimens were taken about 4:40 A.M. Twenty min. later I reached a meadow covered with grass & dotted with Artemisia bushes from which over 24 snagspies
