Engler 1936 Smoke Cr., 3900 ft., 9 mi. Elcalif. line Washoe Co., Nev. July 10. Two hills. The rocks were so thick in places that scarcely 1 sq. furl of open space could be found between them. No birds were seen at the locality of the traps but on the slope where we left the car were a number of Horned Larks. We reached camp about 8:00 P.M. + I shot another Eptesicusfuscus. July 11. We returned to our trap lines on the morning of July 10. The exact locality was determined as, 19 mi. W Deephole, 4800 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. A coyote was seen crossing the road on our way to the traps. In the traps were found: 1 Reithodontys megalotis, 2 Prognathus parvus, 2 Peromyscus cunitus, + 3 Peromyscus maniculatus. These were prepared when we returned to camp. At twain the afternoon, we packed up camp to move to Granite Mountains. We left at 3:40 P.M. + drove north thru Deephole & Gerlach to Rock Cr., 5000 Granite Mt., Washoe Co., Nev arriving about 6:45 P.M. where we made camp alongside the running creek.
