Engler 1936 Peognathus formosus July 27 10\frac{1}{2} mi. W + 6 mi. N Sulphur, 4000 ft., Humboldt Co, Nev. One taken on rocky slope covered with large lava slabs; few Sarcobatus bushes were present. July 29 30 mi. W + 4 mi. N Lovelock, 4300 ft., Pershing Co, Nev. Taken on gravel slope of decomposed granite. No rocks could be seen in immediate vicinity. This hill had been much trampled by sheep & only a few large Sarcobatus plants were present. July 29 30 mi. W + 3 mi. N Lovelock, 4100 ft., Pershing Co, Nev. Taken on sandy soil mixed with a few large pebbles, about 50 ft from dry stream bed. Many Sarcobatus bushes present.
