Eutannius minimus Engler 1936 July 20. ½ mi. N Vya, 6000 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. One taken near top of steep rocky hill, near pile of lava rocks. July 22. 4 mi. S Diessnev, 5800 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. One taken in mouse trap on flat, open land. The soil was rather coarse. Sarcobatus & artemesia bushes were found in abundance. Taken in assoc. with P. maniculatus & P. parvus. July 23. Humboldt Co. 5 mi. N Summit L., 5900 ft., Washoe Nev. near 1 specimen taken in mousetrap along road on rocky ground & beneath Sarcobatus bush. Another specimen was shot at same locality, a number of others were observed feeding on the heads of some tall grass-like plant. The animals would jump on the stiff stems & climb them until they would bend to the ground. The heads of the grass were then cut off & left on the ground as another blade was caught climbed.
