Prognathus parvus Engler 1936 July 7. smoke ca 3900 ft, 9 mi. E of Calif line, Washoe Co, Nev. 1 specimen was taken on a sage brush covered bank alongside an alfalfa field. The ground was somewhat sandy, but hard packed. It was caught in association with Peromyscus maniculatus July 12. Rock ca. 5000 ft., Granite Mt, Washoe Co, Nev. 6 specimens were taken on the rocky slope north of the stream. One was taken within 6 inches of the water. A ? had 6 em- bryos x 15 cm. Her cheek pouches were filled with the seeds of a grass that was quite plentiful on the lower slopes July 20 1/2 mi. N Vya, (6200+6000) ft., Washoe Co, Nev 2 taken from rocky hill W of camp. Artemesia & Balsamheiza were in abundance. July 21 15 mi. S Vya, 5800 ft., Washoe Co, Nev. 1 taken on gravelly soil. July 21 12 mi. S Vya, 5800 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. July 22 4 1/2 mi.
