Dipodomys microps levipes Engler 1936 July 4 One individual, weighing 64.5 g. was taken 2 1/2 mi. E Flanigan, 4200 ft., Washoe Co., Nev., among Sarcobatus + Artemesia that covered a low sandy hill. It was taken where the shrubbery was more dense. (1/30 3.3% of total catch in this locality.) July 15 1 specimen taken at Hausen, 4800 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. Taken among Artemesia + Sarcobatus on winddriftable sand. The cheek pouches were empty. The trail to the trap was very erratic. The tail makes a definite trail in the sand. D. orii was taken in same locality. July 24 1 1/2 mi. SW Quinn's R. Crossing, 4100 ft., Humboldt Co., Nev: 1 specimen taken on loose gravelly sand on which Sarcobatus was growing. Trail leading to trap was fairly straight. July 25. 1mi W Sulphur, 4040ft, Humboldt Co, Nev. 1 specimen taken from sandy ground which had a thin hard crust covering. Atroplex was the chief main plant growing here along with a little Artemesia. These bushes were very scattered & low: Artemisia leaves found in the cheek pouches.
