Eutamius amoenus

about 11:00 A.M. a chipmunk was
heard chattering in the lower branches
of a pine tree. It was taken & found
to be an adult female. It was with-
out embryos but the mammae were
quite large. Apparently it had young
but had quit nursing. The cheek
pouches contained the hulled seeds of
a plant belonging to the rose family.
