Engler 1936 July 2 Eutamius amoenus W side Truckee R, 4900 ft., 2 mi. W Verdi Washoe Co Nev. about 11:00 A.M. a chipmunk was heard chattering in the lower branches of a pine tree. It was taken & found to be an adult female. It was with- out embryos but the mammae were quite large. Apparently it had young but had quit nursing. The cheek pouches contained the hulled seeds of a plant belonging to the rose family.
