Engler 1936 3 mi. S Mt. Rose, 8500ft., Washoe Co., Nev. Aug. 5 antl. Purple Finch 2. Junco 3. Mt. Bluebird 4. Red Shafted Flicker 5. Chipping Sparrow 6. Sparrow hawk. 7. Hummingbird sp? 8. Robin 9. Stellar Jay. 10. Clarke Nutcracker (Heard) 11. Hairy Woodpecker Bedding Many ground squirrels, Gulls, & chipmunks were seen. Aug. 6, On the evening of Aug. 5 set out 20 mouse traps along the edge of the meadow where we were camped. Only one Microtus mur was definitely identified. A Bulo was taken at this time in the thick dense grass near the stream. 4 Peromyscus maniculatus & 1 Microtus montanus were taken. We broke camp & left for Berkeley at 7:30 A.M. driving via Lake Tahoe, Auburn, Sacramento, & Davis.
