Stellar Jay. 10. Clarke Nutcracker (Heard) 11. Hairy Woodpecker Bedding Many ground squirrels, Gulls, & chipmunks were seen. Aug. 6, On the evening of Aug. 5 set out 20 mouse traps along the edge of the meadow where we were camped. Only one Microtus mur was definitely identified. A Bulo was taken at this time in the thick dense grass near the stream. 4 Peromyscus maniculatus & 1 Microtus montanus were taken. We broke camp & left for Berkeley at 7:30 A.M. driving via Lake Tahoe, Auburn, Sacramento, & Davis.
