Peromyscus maniculatus
1934 July 9th 3 mi S Shurg, 4100 ft., Mineral Co., Nev.
Three taken at edge of Cottonwood and Sand area zone - One taken in willows near river was very dark in color -
July 12th Mt Grant, Sappon Canyon 8900ft., Mineral Co. Nev.
Took 18 in sage brush, Sandy Soil and around rocks outcrops. Practically all were Mature. The Coloration seems more constant and on the average is perhaps slightly darker than those taken at 3 mi S. Shurg.
July 13-14 Three taken in first set and two on second day in the runways of Microtus montanus - in sets made for these latter animals in the log about 150 yds E. OF Camp Cottonwood Creek, Mt Grant, Mineral Co., Nev.
July 15 - Took Seven from traps at base of rock slide and along edges of Cottonwood Creek, also in sage brush.
