Eoas 1934 Peromyscus maniculatus June 28 am. 5 W Pine Grove, 7250 ft. Mineral Co. Nevada: Caught 14 in 40 traps set in Artemisia, in Piñon pines and in broken rock areas from canyon floor to summit of ridges. Approximately 1/3 were young and immature. June 29 Caught 24 in about 81 traps, 5 from locality trapped over June 28th and 19 from points 3½ miles SW and 2¾ mi SW of Pine Grove, the majority from the former, the type of country much the same, i.e. Artemisia, Piñon and the soil sandy loam mixed with varying amounts of fragmented rocks - young and immature made up from 1/3 to ½ the catch. June 30 Took 13 in 44 traps approx 1/3 young- showed preference for tall relatively dense Artemisia. July 2. Took 4 along river banks and willows and out in Atriplex in rocky gravelly areas - 50 traps July 3 Took 8 in 40 traps - taken down in river bottom along irrigation dikes and on stony hillsides.
