S Yerington, 4600 ft., W.Walker R., Lyon Co., Nvs. Put out 50 traps: 10 along river bank, 5 thru willows and brush; remainder over gravelly and rocky area which included relatively level area, hillside and top of ridge. The hill side was very rocky with many boulders of considerable size. Dominant vegetation Atriplex July 2. Took up traps which contained a total of eleven mammals as follows - 1 R. megalotis, 1 P. truei, 3 Perog. formosus, 2 P. erinitus, 4 P. maniculatus. The relatively level area gave very poor results. Put out 40 traps NE of Camp - (Sout) 15 along bank irrigation ditch Atriplex 10 in most grassy area - Willows Cottonwoods 15 on side and summit of rocky ridge - Atriplex July 3 Took up traps this morning total 16 mammals as follows: 8 P. maniculatus 2 P. erinitus, 2 Perog. formosus, 1 Perog. longimembris, 3 R. megalotis Put out 19 Sout and 1 rat traps on sandy ridge at edge of alfalfa field - mixture of large shrubs - Atriplex and others on sandy soil - 10 mi S Yerington 4500 ft., Mason Valley
