U. M. Dzieroz 1978 Basileuterus culicivorus El Inid, 230 m., 19.5 km. NW6 Encarnacion by road, Dpto. Itapua, Paraguay. 18 September Found an unbanded bird in the mist net behind the hotel at 07:30. The bird escaped before I could band it. I heard birds B11 and B12 from behind the hotel at 07:30. I walked by the area at which I had heard a bird previously, the area in which the paths lead to the drainage ditch and miniature golf course, and I recorded that bird (B13). The bird near the net near the garbage dump-aerostrip path intersection path was singing only sporadically, probably due to wind conditions. I didn't record it. I had wanted to continue my survey of B.c., but it was too windy. Instead I walked to the Superfern Trail via Middle Trail, hearing B3 and B9 on the way. I recorded a bird below the chocolate cookie tree (B14). This is probably the bird I recorded weeks ago at that location and may be the bird I heard calling near Banana Creek recently. On Superfern Trail I heard a B.c. but didn't record it. On the way back to the hotel I heard B2.
