Itapua, Paraguay. 3 September were at the pools again scolding, and I was unable to record them. 4 September There was still a flock of thrushes at the airstrip at 07:40. At 10:45 I saw a rufiventris in pasture #1. Ned said he thought he heard a thrush singing in Becker's forest this morning. At about 10:50 I heard a thrush-like song coming from Becker's forest (I was in pasture #1), but it was raining heavily and I did wanted to get the recording equipment back to the hotel, so I didn't record it or find out what it was. 5 September The flock of thrushes was at the air- strip at 08:00. I heard a thrush-like song coming from the NW at about that time. I finally recorded a Turdus song this afternoon. The details of the recording are given on the tape. I doubt that I've heard the song (of Turdus rufiventris) before, or at least I haven't mentioned it earlier. Today Anne Jacobberger shot an amaurochalinus at the airstrip.
