V.M. Diaz 1978 El Inol, 230 m., 19.5 km. NWE Encarnacion by road. Dpto. Itapua, Paraguay. 22 September road around the vicinity of the airstrip. I walked up the road to its intersection with the road to Encarnacion, then came back to the airstrip and the hotel, arriving at 18:00. 3 September I left the hotel at 06:00 today and walked out the hotel road leading to the road to Encarnacion. I recorded birds and saw a species which hasn't been collected yet by M.V.Z people, the Chestnut-vented Conebill (Conirostrum speciosum). The cone- bill was feeding and singing, and was about 8 ft. off the ground in a small hotel tree along the road. I stepped for breakfast at 07:10, and at 07:30 started off for Middle Trail by taking the miniature golf course path. From Middle Trail I took Bamboo Trail, and then took Super Flein Trail to Cross Creek Trail. I took Cross Creek Trail to the cornfield, arriving there around 11:30 when the sun was beating down.
