Anne Jacobberger collected an Empidonax euleri today near where I recorded one on September in the "cut over grazed forest" area. The specimen has her catalogue number 3999. (Anne shot the bird a short time after I had been in the area and heard an Empidonax euleri, and I probably got it in the background of the Basileuterus culicivorus recording I was making.) Anne also collected a Myiodynastes (his specimen number 75) at or near the spot where I recorded one on September from pasture #2. 22 September The temperatures today were the highest we've had since we've been here (probably in the high 80's °F). At 07:20 I left the hotel and started on an attempt to record series of 100 songs from four Basileuterus culicivorus (plus record any new Empidonax euleri and any other interesting or needed vocalizers) I walked around the hotel grounds, then took Middle Trail, Bamboo Trail, Middle Trail (again), Loop Trail and Dustrip Trail.
