It was very quiet there, and what did sing sang only briefly. An exception to this was a Tropical Parula (Parula pitiayumi) which was singing continuously from the tree tops near Green Creek. I took the Cross Country Loop (the part to Bamboo Trail) and Middle Trails back to the hotel, arriving at 12:10. On the way (and earlier in the morning), I checked the 5 nets that are up. The temperature by this time was the warmest it's been here so far (probably in the 80's F). At 16:30 I took the path to the area in which they were loading gravel at the airstrip. The wind was still very strong, and almost nothing was vocalizing. I returned to the hotel at 17:45. 18 September It was very windy today.
