Itapúa, Paraguay. 9 September a number of Euphonia individuals there this morning, and I was interested in recording them and anything else that was vocalizing. I'll describe what I saw in the Turdus spp. species account. I then walked down the airstrip and back to the hotel. I intended to listen for vocalizations until dark, but the noise of the hotel guests made me give up about 17:45. 10 September The weather today was clear, with warm (approximately 70-75°F) temperatures and slight to medium winds. At 08:10 I left the hotel and took the path from the miniature golf course to the airstrip trail. I spent almost all the morning in and around the manakin lek # IV area. At one point I walked down to Fern Creek and walked in the creek bed, looking for rails (I didn't find any). I returned by the same route, and got back to the hotel at 13:30.
