W.B. Davis 1936 Mt. Harrison, 10 mi. S Allison, Cassia Co., Idaho. June 14. Moved camp from the Wickes ranch at Elba, where we collected from the 10th to the 13th, to this locality. We are camped about 3/4 mi. up the S fork of the creek that flows in Howell's Canyon. Turned S at the ranger station. There is an abundance of water in the creek and numerous patches of snow are about our camp. Deep snow banks are hanging on the east & north slopes of the hills. The dominant trees are Abies alpine, Pinus murrayana and Populus tremuloides. On the tops of the hills and on S facing slopes are nearly pure stands of Artemisia tridentata. Set out 30 traps along the creek and by and under fallen logs in the conifers. Look 2♂ Eutarsias anoreus and 9♀ Peromyscus maniculatus.
