W.B. Davis 1936. 544 Homedale, Owyhee Co., Idaho. May 31, On the evening of the 29th I set out 30 additional traps — besides the 30 west of town; The others were taken up in an area (sandy) about a mile west of the first hill west of town. Set out 7 rat traps too in this area. Next morning I had 18 Dipodomys 8 of which were adult or nearly so, and 25 Perognathus parvus. Lates were taken in not so sandy areas as were the Dipsos. Caught another Ammospermophilus in a mouse trap. She also was suckling young. She was in better condition than was the first one and made a better skin. At that, she must have lain in the sun for an hour or more before I got to her. Night hawks are quite common in this area, 3's were noted feeding early in the evening.
