508. Rupert, Minidoka Co., Idaho. Jan. 9, I saw a small covey of California Quail and one Horned Lark at this place. Twining collected a Kildeer, Tree Sparrow, Junco, Gambel Sparrow and saw a flock of small sandpipers sp? which were feeding in an open "springy" place on the bank of the river. Jan. 10, This A. M. Walter Nelson brought me 13 coyote skulls which he had collected near the divide between Little Lost River and Paheimeroi valley, so we decided it best to return to Berkeley. We packed and left Rupert about 2 p.m. and drove to Albion for the purpose of getting some snow pictures) Found that the snow as all melted except on the mountains and the roads were too rough and muddy to get up there. Left there and drove to Twin Falls where we ate supper and then proceeded on our way at 6:15, arriving in Berkeley Jan 11 about 5 P.M. On Snake River at the Downer Bridge
