W.B. Davis 1936. 507, Rupert, Minidoka Co., Idaho, Jan. 8. the car, we were travelling about 35 m.p.h. when he brought the bird down. At this time we were just keeping abreast the bird, at this same place we saw a small flock of Horned Larkes, but were unable to collect any. About midway between Hazelton and Elow we saw a & Marsh Hawk feeding on a rabbit that had been killed on the highway. About 3 mi. W of Rupert we saw a flock of about a dozen (western) Meadowlarkes, most of them were sitting on a fence; some were on the ground. Jan. 9. Drove to Burley this 4. M. Snowed several inches during the night and a strong south west wind was driftling the loose snow. On our way back to Rupert we stopped at Snake River - in Minidoka County - and hunted for about four hours. I collected 3 Song Sparrowes, a James, and a Western Tree Sparrow; also collected a Black-tailed Jack Rabbit
