He said that in 12 years of trapping on the river here that he had never caught nor seen any sign of River Otter. He believes that Shoshone Falls acts as a barrier to the population lower down stream. Today, Dec. 24, was another clear, cold day. I visited the Carlson Fur Co. this A.M. and asked them about furs and trappers. They buy furs occasionally. Mrs. Carlson told me that a trapper on Goose Creek south of Oakley had a couple of Cow skins that he had taken in that area. His name is Ned Emery, address at Oakley, Idaho. I plan to visit him this week if the weather is favorable. I drove out to the ranch of Mr. David Krause, about 2 mi. east of Heyburn. He is trapping muskrat and other smaller fur bearers.
