W.B. Davis 1935 476 Rupert, Minidoka Co., Idaho, Dec. 24, The following birds were seen near the dam, Dec. 22. 1. Pintail - about a dozen identified 2. Scrape sp? - hundred or more. 3. Mallard - several. 4. American Merganser - several. 5. Black-billed Magpie - 23. Yesterday I drove Howard to Minidoka where he boarded the train enroute to Hailey where he will collect. On the way to Minidoka we saw one American Roughleg and several Plover. They were picking at the bodies of rabbits which had been run over on the highway. While at Minidoka I met Mr. Nephi Duncan, a section hand on the O.L., who spends his spare time trapping. He had 13 coyote skins taken in November, all in the vicinity of 12 mi. NE Minidoka I purchased two skins, ???. for $7.00 These two skins represent both the dark and the light color phase. Most of the 13 skins examined were comparable in color with my darker one.
