This specimen has been identified by R.M.
Anderson as Z. p. oregonus. I have compared
the skin with typical oregonus and find
the dorsal coloration not so dark, as it
compares favorably with Z. p. idahoensis
and should, perhaps, be considered as
such. There is no skull. However, on geographic
grounds it is here assigned to rootenayensis
