Kaufman, Clark Co., Idaho. June 27.
In the evening I drove to Berenice,
vias Howe, and camped at the
Ranch of a Mr. Bill Peterson, P.O.
address - Howe, Idaho, who gave
me some information concerning
game. He reported Mt. Sheep in
the Little Lost River and Lemhi
mountains. He said that a
few years ago he and Lee Twitchell,
now with the B. & L. with
headquarters at Bozello, killed
three Mountain Lions in the
canyon just N of his ranch. He
reported these cats to be quite
numerous in the mountainous
area there. He said he had trapped
Red Fox, Badger and Skunk near
Berenice.
