He reported that C. columbianus was first seen about 20 mi. N of Weiser at which locality he shot one. Twinings mouse traps contained only two Reithrodontomy. One was cought in the rushes near the marsh, the other on dry ground amongst grasses and Artemisia within 15 feet of water. I put up both these specimens. Twining hunted for C. idahoensis and shot several. This evening both Aldrich and Twining set out mouse traps; Aldrich in Artemisia and Twining along the marsh. I have only the one still set for Miskrat, set at a burrow where Twining saw one disappear. June 2. This A. M. I looked at my muskrat set and had caught a crayfish by both chelipeds.
