W.B.Davis 1935. 2 mi. S. Melba, Canyon Co., Idaho. May 30. Rained most of the day, and especially heavy this evening. Stayed in camp all day putting up specimens gotten yesterday. Twining took the only specimen for the day - a Citellus idahoensis - which I put up, 2 mi. S Payette, between the Payette and Snake rivers, Payette Co., Idaho. May 31. we left our Melba camp about 9:00 A.M. and drove to Nampa where we got supplies and I shipped four boxes of specimens to M. V. Z. From Nampa we drove to Caldwell, then Fruitland and Payette. About 4½ mi. SE New Plymouth I stopped to examine what I thought was a dead C. idahoensis in the road. Noticed that I had a leaking tire so while I repaired it Aldrich and Twining hunted in the low Artemisia tridentata for squirrels. They came back with a live large adult male. It was in an old stove and was caught by the gloved hands of Aldrich. It is now in a cage and I hope to keep it alive. The whole territory where this animal
