WB Davis 1935 2 mi. S Melba, Canyon Co., Idaho. May 29. I forgot to mention that yesterday we collected and put in press the typical plants associated with Citellus leucodon. These were collected 5 mi. S of Murphy. At Reynolds Creek I collected a sample of the cottonwood and also a ♀ & a ♂ willow. This morning we arose at 5:30 for the first time in several day and Twining and Aldrich looked at their traps. Peromyscus maniculatus was the larger portion of the catch, 8 of which were saved and I put them up. One Reithrodontomy's and three Neotoma completed the catch. One Neotoma only was saved. We put up specimens until noon and then I took the car and the gopher traps and drove to the south side of the river to look for gophers. They were few and far between, each farmer having checked them extremely well. I drove to the Bernard Ranch, 2 miles west of the mouth of Reynolds Creek, and collected the greater part of the afternoon.
