from May 17-20.
1. Killdeer - common
2. Black headed Grosbeak - about 6 seen,
nests;
3. Ring-necked Pheasant - common
4. Redwing Blackbird - abundant. nest.
5. Wilson Snipe - about ½ dozen
6. Screech Owl. - 2- one taken.
7. Coot. - abundant.
8. Horned Owl - heard one on two different mts,
9. Poor Will - One heard.
10. Yellow Warbler - abundant.
11. Song Sparrow - fairly common.
12. Cliff Swallow - many
13. Rough-winged Swallow - Many-nests
14. Barn Swallow - Two seen
15. Violet-green Swallow- about a dozen,
16. White-throated Swift - about ½ dozen,
17. Brewer Blackbird - Common, - nest & egp.
18. Caspian Tern - Two seen.
19 Mourning Dove - Abundant, -nest and
egp.
20. Western Warbling Vireo - Two seen.
21. California Quail - Abundant,
22. Bank Swallow - Common, nest,
23. Flycatcher sp.; (Wright) - Two seen.
24. Western Robin - about a dozen.
25. Bullock Oriole - about a dozen.
