W.B. Davis 1935. 2 mi. E Hagerman, Gooding Co., Idaho. May 18. by the Marmote. I placed it under a brush and came back for it about half hours later and found that a Mappie had pecked a hole in the shoulder area. I set out four steel traps, one at a likely looking burrow under a huge boulder near camp, baited with the body of a squirrel; the other three were placed in likely looking places in the marsh for Muskrates. The mouse traps I had left set in the marsh contained nothing. I left them set. May 19. Same locality. I visited the traps in the marsh and found two Sorex in the mouse traps. Collected these traps. In the steel traps I had caught only one Coot. Left all these set. In the gopher sets on the other (south) side of the river I found I had caught 6 Thomomys. These appear to me to be very grey in color. I collected all traps in which a catch had been made and in the afternoon made 5 new sets in Mr. Vader's field and also 5 sets in
