J.B. Davis 1935. 2 mi. E Nagerman, Gooding Co., Idaho. May 18, This camp is just above Upper Salmon Falls of the Snake River. Gooding County is on the north side of the river, Twin Falls County on the south. It is my purpose to collect on both sides of the river; all specimens taken are labelled as from Twin Falls County (south side) or Gooding County (north side). I looked at my mouse traps set in the marsh, amongst reeds and cat-tails and found only one Microtus (no. 1209) and two Reithrodontomy's (no. 1207-1208). A few of the other traps were set off, but not a thing in them. This was probably done by some marsh bird, perhaps Rails. On the way back to camp I collected a ♀ Willow Goldfinch (no. 1210), a ♀ Redwing (no. 1212), a ♂ Long- tailed Chat (no. 1211), and a ♂ Yellowthroat, the latter badly shot up. The yellow- throat ♂'s have established territories and the testes are of breeding size. I also found a nest with 6 eggs of the Cinnamon Teal. This bird is by far the commonest duck, and I should judge that there must be nearly 50 breeding pairs in this neighborhood.
