Salmon Creek, 8 mi. w Rogerson, Twin Falls Co., Idaho, May 14, I found several old Rock Wren nests in the pot holes of the cliffs. There were hundreds of places where Neotoma appeared to be. I set several (about 8) traps in likely looking places amongst the rocks. There appeared to be evidence of porcupine and some large carnivore, perhaps a skunk or bobcat; the tracks of a bobcat were clearly evident in the soft dirt at one place. On the way back, just after sunset (8:30 M.T.) I saw and collected what I take to be a Pipistrellis while it was foraging over the dam. There were also several Myotis of some sort, but I was not fortunate enough to collect any. Will try it again tomorrow night. Aldrich reported having seen four sage grouse east of camp. They certainly are not plentiful. Swining had poor luck with the Marmots with his 16 gage, but did bring back a Song Sparrow and a Flycatcher from the canyon.
