V.B. Davis 1935. Salmon Creek, 8 mi. W Rogerson, Twin Falls County, Idaho, May 13, A Horned Owl was heard hooting from the cliffs below the dam last night and again tonight. Aldrich brought in a young maroonah today and reported a large colony on the west side of the canyon. Twining brought in a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a 9 Cottontail that contained 10 embryos 62 mm. (rump-crown); also a young Pygmy Rabbit. This evening I set out 30 mouse traps - a few amongst the rocks at the top of the cliff east of the reservoir, but most of them in the sage where the soil was semi-sandy. These were spaced approximately 25 paces. I was talking with the keeper of the reservoir, Mr. Today and he informed me that he killed a Bob-cat (Lynx Cat) here last winter. He also told me that two badgers had been taken in this vicinity a few days previous to our arrival. He reported the presence of Skunk and Civet Cat.)
