Microtus californicus 1 1/2 mi. S. Beegum, 1700 ft. Tehama To., Calif. May 26, 1946 Three taken in traps. One later discarded because its skull was broken. F 1695 taken in a trap placed on a rock at the edge of and perhaps 2" above a small creek, which at this point was lined with moss-covered rocks. F 1694 + the disarticulated specimen were taken in traps set in a boggy area covered with lush growth. No runways were noted. Although there was intermittent rain the previous evening, they apparently were active.
