It may be reached by driving W from Garfield on U.S. Hwy 290 for 2.2 miles, then turning N for about ½ mile. I was permitted to drive down into the bottomland and worked along the S bank of the stream 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. for about ¾ mile, then returning to starting point by 12:00. The timber along the stream was well developed with elm (probably U. americana), cottonwood, china berry, willow and sycamores growing along the banks.
