Carolina Chickadee singing Turkey Crowns in area. Titmouse pair in oaks at base of hill S of creek - "courtship" feeding sit sit sit and wing flutter of & chuk chuk dub dub dub as D near with food 8:01 9 on low limb see but over over with wing flutter - continued after D sang peer - - - - 7 apparently foraging for herself - rusty blackish crest while forehead (broad) & flew 25 yds to creek at 8:03 & flew there & sang (answer from creek SE). I crossed main branch there - singing bird was on slope to E separated by a planted field so I left there and worked SW. Titmouse along fence crossing of creek moved NW onto hillslope S of pair seen at 8:00 They exchanged song after 8:15 (song also from W around hill.) Bird D was following seemed to be alone - sang steadily even after neighbors had ceased - at 8:20 flew SW along slope At 8:30 I located singing bird to W along tributary near road crossing - & fed begging more than sang peer - - - - Titmouse down stream gave vehement vet vet set vet over men seemingly alone this bird may have been kind seen to E Song tur tur - - - at 8:33 no bird now E from tributary below W pair No Titmice as I wacked N until 9:43-9:45 when pair in area between main branch & tributary & singing alternately with bird E of planted field - these the 8:00 Titmice WIND FROM W came up suddenly ±10 mph I walked up hill to N (W main branch of creek)
