About 8:20 S bird moved S of pipeline and I followed it but didn't work in that. Song peter-- charged to payta - at 8:28 - bird moved W and had song exchange with S1 to S. At 8:35 I walked back to pipeline and worked down dry creeked from dam. I did not locate him again. At 9:43 silence - I wached SE along brook & came to barn+ cabin - exchange of song downstream and I followed along entering a grove of elm and willow Shower fell 8:55 - 9:00, birds singing more actively thereafter. One seemed to be on either side of stream. I crawled through a fence & than saw a bird of approximate six fly into a hackberry - I fired at it with a .22 and it shifted perch and scolded club rule but not the usual end end. I took it (#578). Song going on downstream simultaneously. This bird had no brook patch so I don't know score. I reached tributary from N at 9:15 & tried to sneak up n the northern bird - it kept moving SE in tall elms - his chief song was kitya -- although once he sang something like TUR-idle I took him (#579) at 9:30 along S bank of tributary
