(2) 375 yd. meadow with scattered Artemesia and isolated cottonwoods and stumps at north end. (3) 120 yd. brush (Symphoricarpos, occasional Rosa, 2-3 1/2 ft.) (4) 35 yd. meadow and Artemisia patch (5) 425 yd. brush (same as 2 but with isolated cottonwoods) (6) 40 yd. broken box elder woods (7) 50 yd. brush (same as 2) (8) 35 yd. closed thicket of young willow (9) 5 yd bank of river River at point of transect apparently an overflow channel 50 yards wide. Meadow in area of transect composed of native grasses; elsewhere it was planted wheat grass.
