M singing from top rung of bleachers on E side of Memorial
Stadium wididit wi-di dit — in fume,
a dry rapid song. 9:08 AM
May 12. Found junco in trap in last sed m E bank of brook in lower
part of 1st draw W Poultry Lab (Titmouse Territory 32). Bird
adult, M plumage. I banded it 4/-3958/ on right leg
(no color band).
May 16. 3:15 PM overcast, windy. At edge of brush + grazing land head
of draw W Lab — juvenile (spotted breast) forced to fly by
direct flight approach of adult. When juvenile perched
on ground after short flight, another adult flew at it
casing another flight. Third threat by adult caused
young bird to fly out of territory of adults.
