KDixon 1950 Oporornis 2. May 4 Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co., Calif. 2:45 - 3:00 no sounds from Tolmie Warbler in draw N of pool. At 3:00, bird gave a weak "tsee tsee" or "tsee tsee", repeated then gave three notes -- -- repeated this, then tsee tsee tsee sit sit". Bird sounded as though "warming up" after inactivity of mid day. No further song however as I worked downslope. Bird sang from brush at upper part of W-facing slope. May 5. Sunny day. 8:20 I singing in draw W Lab- 8:45 I singing on slope SE of pool and later one on S bank of creek near bridge of Botanic Garden. May 6. No song along creek 7:30 P.M., a few minutes before sunset
