May 18. Strawberry Canyon
11:55 - vireo in laurel calling a harsh note byaaw over to me - bird close at foraging Steller Jay twice apparently trying to drive it away - I was unable to follow action further.
July 22 mid afternoon on ridge W Parley lab - hutton Vireo with only one rectrix left came up when I squeaked & gave song za weep za-weep.
