Feb 9. NE slope San Pablo Ridge, Contra Costa Co, Calif. overcast, slight breeze from E. Thrasher singing in Baccharis intermittently from one point (ridge between 2 side draws of Gulch) from 9:15 - 9:40 and another point to E later. Songs recorded phonetically:
chura chura chura
chee chee chee wump che uh clip chura chee

clip chura chee wurink wurink trailing off in a snarl. The element repeated most often was the "clip chura chee" sequence. Most notes were repeated twice before some other theme was introduced. Many other notes hard to transcribe were given.
Thrasher singing on willows (not seen) in upper part of 2nd side draw at 11:30.
Feb 11. Sunny, mid day. Thrasher singing from perch atop Baccharis in upper part of 1st side draw near road (Gulch II). Time 11:25.
