July 2. Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co., Calif. Sunny, calm.
Somewhat cooler than previous days. In area S of Botanic Garden 6:50 pm to 7:55 pm. Birds heard singing:
Swainson Thrush and Warbling Vireo vigrnomoly; others
occasionally (American Goldfinch, Spotted Towhee, Song
Sparrow, Wren-fit, Bewick Wren, Paleolated Warbler
Purple Finch).
July 22. In canyon 3:00 - 4:50 pm - sunny - are under Parus
inornatus & checklist on yellow sheet.

I walked over lower part of campus [S & W of Life Sci Bldg]
9:40 - 10:40 am. accompanied by Bob Fehl from Philadelphia.
Noted Pine Siskin foraging & feeding full[illegible] gronjuv?
along creek. Brush Rabbit immature about 6" total length
(body + head) hopping along near the bage along creek.

I went to prail study area with Richard Gendelly
leaving Inspiration Point at 8:30 am. Fog hung over
edge of ridge although sun shown on areas to E.
