We broke camp at 9:00 & drove to Bridgeport & then past Mono Lake to Lee Vining (11:00 am). Then up Lee Vining Canyon
& over Tioga Pass. We noted Pike's cross road near
(on E side of) Tioga Pass. We drove down into Yosemite
Valley, warm & dry in mid-afternoon with Stellar Jay
calls conspicuous. From there we drove to Merced,
Modesto, Tracy, Byron Natl Spz & Oakland without
unusual event.
