We stopped about 2:15 at junction of Bodie Rd in area where dredging mining operations had formed ponds. I collected 2 Cliff Swallows and Salt took 3. Also in vicinity: Killdeer Violet-green Swallow Morning Dove Rock Wren Barn Swallow (1) Yellow Warbler Redwing Scrub Jay in pinyons +/- 1/2 mile N of Turnoff. We drove N through Minden and up Hwy 50 to Lake Tahoe, stopping near there to shoot Cassin Finches. Drive via Placerville (10:00) and Sacramento, arriving in Berkeley about 2:00 AM on the 31st
