Dixon 1950 Journal 31. May 30. Mono Lake, Mono Co., Calif. Noted California gulls singly and in small flocks resting on water and actively picking at objects on surface. Brewer Blackbird Warbling Vireo, Yellowthroat, Yellow-headed Blackbird and Redwings in willow-bordered marshes. 6 mi. S and 2 mi. E Bridgeport, 6900 ft., Mono Co., Calif. We stopped about 2:15 at junction of Bodie Rd in area where dredging mining operations had formed ponds. I collected 2 Cliff Swallows and Salt took 3. Also in vicinity: Killdeer Violet-green Swallow Morning Dove Rock Wren Barn Swallow (1) Yellow Warbler Redwing Scrub Jay in pinyons +/- 1/2 mile N of Turnoff. We drove N through Minden and up Hwy 50 to Lake Tahoe, stopping near there to shoot Cassin Finches. Drive via Placerville (10:00) and Sacramento, arriving in Berkeley about 2:00 AM on the 31st
