Martha and I spent about an hour 3:50-4:45 PM watching nice vother birds in an area largely live oak with scattered digger pines. Observations were made at a point at 2100 ft. elev (see sp. account, Parus inornatus) 5:00-5:20 PM. In nearby City of Rocks area observations were made 5:30-5:45 PM. Species noted: Turkey Vulture (2) Mexican Bluebird Acorn Woodpecker Cedar Waxwing Flicker ("wick-up" call) House Finch ({o congregating in top of tall wide oak) Scrub Jay Oregon Junco Busk-tit ?
