Apr. 29. 8 mi. S Whiteriver, 6100 ft., Navajo Co., Arizona.
Other birds foraged in protected places. Cassin Kingbirds
were silent; one individual noted took successive pecks
all within 3-5 feet of ground as I approached him.
We broke camp in late afternoon and left about
6:00, driving to Globe where we arrived at 9:30.

Departed from Globe about 5:30 AM, driving via Phoenix to
Blythe (11:45) Needles, (3:15) and Barstow (6:15) to Bakersfield.

left Bakersfield at 5:15, driving via Modesto and Tracy
to Berkeley; arrived there at 12:00 AM.
