Campus, Alameda Co., Calif. In lower part of canyon 5:15 - 5:45. Clear, cool, calm. Noted Wilsonia, Western Flycatcher, House Finch, Hermit Thrush, Allen Hummer, Bewick Wren, Song Sparrow; only House Finch + Song Sparrow singing. Apr 10. Same loc. In alders along creek 11:30 - 12:00 AM. Clear, calm. Pileolated Warbler singing, Allen Hummingbird, Bush-tit (pair), Titmouse singing, Warbling Vireo singing. Orange-crowned Warbler + finches in oaks. Odocoileus & crossed highway and ran up N-facing slope opposite Pareky farm. Apr 16. Claremont Canyon, Alameda Co., Calif. Clear warm day, 1:30 PM. Heard song of Olive-sided Flycatcher from eucalyptus at mouth of canyon - (first record this year)
