Birch Creek, 8 mi NW Dillon, Beaverhead Co., Montana.
Caught Zapus (202) in grassy area between 2 willow bushes 5 ft from pond; grass 8" high.
Caught 203 in trap under log in grass, 12"-15" high 2 ft from water (willow) area below beaver dam; willows 4'-8' high; many streamlets.
Caught 204 in grass 8" high in willows 10 ft from stream.
Caught 205 at base of willow brush 35 ft from where 204 was taken. 20 yards from stream; scattered Pinus murrayana in area.
