Davis 942 Lake Olomega, too; dep't. St. Ana Miguel, El Salvador Feb. 11, 1942. common, and can be heard calling. The call is a nasal weet-weet-WET-too. Saw a small bird foraging actively in a vine tangle beneath some frees & collected it. Turned out to be a Long-billed Ant-Wren (1222). Further on that an Ant-Shrike (1223) as it foraged in the dense brush along the slough. It was with a fair of ovenbirds. The oven- birds seem to be fairly all through here. Marshall shot a Basilicus (1215) in some brush well away from the slough. This is one of the few individ- uals of this species that we have taken away from water. On the way back home collected a G Richardon Seedeater (1224) in the grassland. Went night-hunting. Heard several doves fly out of a tree, and when put my jack light on the branch, found one White-fronted Dove (1228) which had not taken wing, although it was fully alert.
